When i come to a stop sign or sometimes when im coasting/decelerating the oil pressure gauge will jump up past 80 and bounce around between 70 and 80... when i accelerate it stays around 60... Is that bad?

How about if you ask in the GRAND Cherokee forum. They are most likely better able to assist you.

Okay so some of us aren't so stuck up about answering questions outside the realm of the XJ.....

It sounds like you might have a bad oil pressure sending unit....it usually lives screwed into the oil filter mounting assembly....look for a single wire leadiing down to the oil filter mount and you've probably found the sender. Make sure the wire is not shorting on anything (engine block, frame, etc) and that the connection is clean and secure. If all looks well with the wiring, I would try swapping out the sender...you'll probably have to get the sender at the "stealership" or try these guys online:

rockauto.com
napa.com
or
autozone.com

As to board etiquette...there is a Grand Cherokee specific site for you to post your questions regarding your Jeep...and you'll probably get better info there.

Good luck....
