Does anyone one here know if there will be any event in California that will have an F1 (or any model) on display. I'm 18 and have been a F1 enthusiast since I was 12 . To get a ride in one would be the greatest thing to happen to me up to this point in my life. Well I joined the forums just to ask this question.

Thanks

I haven't heard of an event, but I am in the UK so that could explain it ;); some of the US-based people may have an idea though.....

The annual Pebble Beach Concours is the most likely event to feature some of the greatest marques in the history of automobiles. This year's featured marque is the Aston Marton in which they will debut the DBS.

An occasional McLaren has been known to make an appearance. As for getting a ride? Good luck.

Form their website:

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
Once each year, on a Sunday in August, 175 of the most prized collector cars in the world roll onto what is often called the best finishing hole in golf — the famed eighteenth fairway at Pebble Beach. Tire meets turf and transformation occurs: the stage is set for one of the most competitive events in the automotive world. The occasion is the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The Concours is not a contest of speed, but of excellence. Automobiles are judged for their historical accuracy, their technical merit and their style. And the best garner reward and recognition.

Thousands of enthusiasts are on hand to celebrate these cars and enjoy the company of others who share their passion.

The 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance features the marques of Aston Martin and Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg, and celebrates the 75th anniversary of the iconic 1932 Ford. A special class called the “10-plus Club” focuses on cars involved in the early push to power, cars with engines displacing 10 liters or more. Not one but two classes honor preserved automobiles this year; in addition to prewar cars, there will be a new class for cars from the postwar era. And there will be a class for Brooklands race cars.

Someone suggested to me that #014 would be in the area of Monetery this weekend. Also it would not surprise me to find #036 or #042 around.

Unforutunately I couldn't work Monterey into my schedule again this year. :frown:
