ok after reading many posts and people having probs getting front rotors off.i,m wondering should i attempt to get em off myself?this a 2001 elantra and rotors are not supposed to be pressed on.dont wanna spend all day doin a 2 hour job on a car thats not mine

I just did mine 2months ago, 2001 elantra, after the wheel off it took only 10 mins per side,, I also did the pads as well, got them from auto zone. like 30ty for the rotors apeice. originals had a screw holding it to the hub.. the replacements had the screw holes but not in the right place so I just put them without the screw holding to the hub,,seem to be working fine..

There are some problems taking the rotors off yes, but you should still be able to take it off by yourself.

I'd also recommand something else than the OEM rotors, mine warped rapidly so I changed for Brembo replacements, nearly the same price as OEM but much better in quality!
