This happens once in a while and I have to check it every time I park the car. My brake lights stay on! If I play with the pedal, lift it with my toe and don't slam the door too hard, I can get them to stay off.

Is this an adjustment or is the switch bad, how accessible is it? I have about an hour or so tomorrow after work to mess with it.

Thanks, Bob

Sounds like the brake switch slipped a little. I've had this happen before, once. Just readjust the position of the brake switch, under the dash. It's easy to get to. Move the switch a little closer to the brake pedal arm.

Thanks, I'll try that first.

I cracked a 40 of OE last night and gave it a look see.

I saw what you meant about adjusting the switch so the plunger was closer to the pedal arm. Since I was in no mood in turning upside down under the dash, I happened to have a ty-rap in my ash tray.

I wrapped it around the pedal where it meets the plunger, made sure it was tight, problem solved! Again, silicon saves the day.
