To keep it short and simple...My car is a 1998 Dodge Neon standard and I can start it with the clutch but then I can let off the clutch while it is running and shift gears without the clutch. :screwy: It will not go forward or backwards without someone pushing it. :banghead: I believe the transmission linkage is not linked but I'm still learning about cars so I'm not completely for sure. Pop the hood and check the cables underneath the battery. Chances are your bushings wore out and your cables are loose.
