Locating Spark Plugstheenforcer 08-11-2007, 11:49 AM Okay I may be dumby but I'm new to working on cars and I can't find my spark plugs. I looked at other cars but the plugs were in a idiot proof position yet I can't find mine, can anyone tell me/show me in pictures where the heck my plugs are. I have a 98 camaro, v6 3.8L so any help would be greatly appreciated...:banghead: 89Firebird2.8 08-11-2007, 10:54 PM They're typically not very far above the exhaust manifolds. 3 on each side of the engine. There will be a thick wire leading to each one. wrightz28 08-13-2007, 09:46 AM Follow the wires and find what you seek, but please, do them one at a time, and do not pull the wire expecting it to 'pop' off, life will fet ugly if you do. 89Firebird2.8 08-14-2007, 11:44 AM Heh, my first time with this engine i ended up having to cut all the wires off and put new ones on. Oh well, had been planning it anyway. theenforcer 08-16-2007, 03:27 PM Whoohoo finally got all the plugs out and back in, I actually managed to not destroy the wire but on of the boots was hangin onto the wire by a thread, probably one of the reasons why my cylinders were miss firing. Now to get the new wires on... wrightz28 08-16-2007, 03:58 PM cool beans remember, one at time. ikeyballz 08-16-2007, 08:24 PM lol yeh.. i did the wires on my friends car before.. took everything off. that sucked >_< oh! but we got er running cuz she had the right ign. order under hood.. and this other time, we got a aerostar (ford minivan) V6 running...and we counted the cylinders the wrong way! it was awesome. it idled and everything (it was efi too?! ) so it was running...till we figured out wait, we;'re numbering it wrong. -_- vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
