View Full Version : Think BIG of yourself? Think BIG of yourself? Trendd 08-10-2007, 03:08 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf9JlLCd9Dw :nono: so don't speed J-Ri 08-12-2007, 04:19 PM Apparently if you drive fast then you are lacking......:grinyes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf9JlLCd9Dw :nono: so don't speed So the faster I go, the smaller it gets? Does that mean it gets bigger if I drive really fast in reverse? Trendd 08-12-2007, 07:08 PM LOL, that ad is supposed to stop people from speeding! its ripped its way through our workshop today hahaha I showed a few people our topic on "you know your a commodore driver when" and one of them is when you drag race a XR6 only to hear sirens. The boys at work said "they should have a VE and a BF lined up, BF burns rubber and takes off only to hear a siren from the VE" I spose they can change the slogan tho ... "if you can get a falcon to wheel spin then youve definately got something wrong with you" J-Ri 08-12-2007, 08:18 PM LOL, that ad is supposed to stop people from speeding!" Yeah, I got it. Pretty funny  Although they're really driving wrecklessly... not necessarily speeding. There's a time and place for everything, the city is rarely the place. There's a time and place for everything, the city is rarely the place. This brings me back to the dilemma of tougher P plate restrictions and whether these new laws really make a difference. Are these new laws actually working or are they just making life harder for P platers like me (currently on green Ps).I don't know why by nsw has tough laws when it comes to P plate licencing. In queensland they don't even have a licence speed limit or even neeed to display P plates. In canberra they don't even need to do the hazard perception test to move from red to green P.It just so feels that hooners, especially P platers are making life worse off and harder for every other P plater who actually follows the rules. But in nsw we basically advertise ourselves for cops to target because of the P plates and go through a pointless test which is a waste of money jsut to move onto our greens.By pointless i mean you can basically rig it by following a few golden rules and you'll pass your greens for sure.If it weren't for the ban on turbos i would hav bought my own series 5 rx7 already. But really....do you guys think these tougher laws actually do something or is it just ignored and taken as a slap on the wrist? J-Ri 08-13-2007, 02:30 PM A few questions: what's a P plate? what's a hooner? what does it mean to "move onto our greens"? I'm not really sure exactly what you are refering to, but I usually just ignore laws I don't like. The cops gotta catch ya first :icon16: WRT 08-26-2007, 04:36 AM A few questions: what's a P plate? what's a hooner? what does it mean to "move onto our greens"? The cops gotta catch ya first :icon16: theyre australian like me J-r, P plates are provisional licenses, that you have after your learners license, it has restricitons on cars you can drive, power output, engine configs etc. theres 2 stages of provisional (P) license, Reds and greens. you have to pass a physical driving test to get your reds, but just a bogus computer test to get your P's. M_Mullins 09-06-2007, 08:15 AM  Blayer 05-11-2008, 12:45 AM They're not even going fast. They're trying to burn their tires out downtown. Yes, maybe these idiots need extra small condoms, but not speeders. mreed8 08-07-2008, 12:13 AM for the record, i bike to work  Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
