Checking the water running

In many cars you just remove the cap from the Radiator and you
could see the water running, however as you all know, on the 94
Concorder, the only cap is the on on the coolant reservoir.

Then, how I can check if / how the water is running ?

Is your car overheating? If not then it has to be circulating, if there is an air lock, clogged radiator, or the fans don't work, these vehicles will heat up quite quickly. But if your going down the road and or stopped in traffic and your temperature guage is never going past 1/2 scale then it would be safe to assume that the coolant is circulating like it should.

You can open the bleed valve (slowly) on the water outlet (Where the top radiator hose connects to the engine) with the engine warmed up and running to check if there is any air in the system and purge it out if there is, but when you open it and water comes out then close it immediately, just make sure to check that the recovery tank is properly filled (Heed the warning on the cap! NEVER open it when the engine is hot! Do that when the engine is cold.) with coolant to the "Full" level from time to time and you should be fine.

Normally the neddle is below 1/2 ( heat ) in fact most of the time is
just 1/4 up, but the last few days it have been getting up
ONLY while driving here in the city ( Stop Signs - Lights )

This car just when from here Roanoke VA to 1000 Islands on Canada
and back via NYC with no problems.

Still, it will get hot like I say above when to many stops & go.

Thanks

It is actually normal for the needle to get around the half scale mark when in traffic, generally the PCM will let the engine get up to over 200 degrees before it kicls the fans on the cool it back down again. As long as it doesn't go very far above half scale then your fine.

In the city, like I said above, the needle has gone all the way
up to almost the RED mark.

If you pick the Interstate, then the needle will go down
to below half or 1/4 like I said before.

This happend just in the city, with the stops and red lights....

Thanks Again.......

If you read an old post by me, someone at the dealer
( was like that when I bought it from Berglund )
have the water pump running in reverse !

I guessing that's the reason why........ ( I had NOT change it yet )
