This is a small WIP - both in length and subject scale - 1:43rd scale model. Built using Le Phoenix kit as a starting point, cut the door and trunk, made hinges, scratchbuilt the insides, fitted Feeling 43 engine kit, lots of small mods here and there. These small scale kits sure can be challenging!

Looks like a fun Build. I really like the shot with the engine sitting in the primed body. It looks fantastic finished, especially when you remember how small it is.
I'm also happy to finally see some orange peel in one of your paint jobs, now I know you are human.

True

I am so tempted to do 1/43, but I don't have guts to realy start

It looks just perfect.

Thanks guys. 1:43 is fun to build cause you don't have to be anal about little details, cause you can't really see them (they simply don't exist!). Plus you can build a model fairly quick, especially if it is a curbside.

Some orange peel was left intentionally because customer wanted an authentic finish - these cars were never painted and polished perfectly. I sprayed clear from a distance to achieve that.

Wow, awesome job, in some of the last shots it really looks like its in bigger scale. Excellent job.

Wow, beautiful work! It really is terribly cute.

Great looking engine- especially in 1/43!

Damnit, I try so hard to to aquire anything other than 1/24 plastic. But you're really not making it easy. :grinno:

(I've just never been able to wrap my mind around what an asinine scale 1/43 is. Maybe there's some obvious logic to it that has forever illuded me. If it were 1/48, I'd have been hooked long ago!)

Excellent work as usual, (sigh). If only we could all build like Alex.

Amazing... Most incredible... I really can't tell the difference between this and 1/12th scale!
