1997 Lumina 3.1 thermostat changeken729 08-07-2007, 07:31 AM I'm planning on changing the thermostat and from what it looks like it's in a tight spot. Once those two bolts come out of the thermostat cover, is there enough clearance to the exhaust crossover pipe to get it out? Also, do I need to remove throttle body or anything else? Any tips would be appreciated. dwalmop 08-07-2007, 01:33 PM There is, but you really have to wedge it. I don't remember having to remove the TB to do mine, but I think I may have removed the crossover pipe heat shield. ken729 08-10-2007, 03:37 PM Thanks. Anyone else have experience changing the thermostat? 94Z28Conv. 08-13-2007, 11:29 PM When I replaced mine, I went ahead and pulled the crossover pipe, it looked like I would have some aggrevation getting the water neck past it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
