I have an 03 altima with @85K miles on it. Newer tires that are siped...upgraded to 17 inch wheels as well. I am getting severe road noise out of the rear end from 50-65 mph and then goes away around 70. It is getting worse. ANy ideas out there.....it did not happen with the new wheel and tires were put on 15K ago. Thanks!

If its not the tires than I would look at the wheel bearing. Just because you can't hear the noise at 70+ mph doesn't mean its not there. Some shops have a device they put against a tire that spins it up to highway speed.

If its bearing noise, the noise can sometimes go away on corners as the pressure on the bearing is reduced. If this is the case it likely increases when turning the opposite direction.
