poor speedo alignmentcarpenter_jai 08-06-2007, 01:43 PM Since installing my speedo/ tach, replacing the old speedo only model, I have noticed that it reads just a little faster than it should, based on road side construction radar that displays my speed and from AMA (Alberta Motor Association) odometer test sections. I guess that over a 5 kilometer section (3.11 miles) it is out about 50 meters (55 yards). On the speedo test at 65 km/h (40 MPH) it reads about 2.5 km/h too fast. It's not a huge difference, but I like accuracy. Could it be the different cluster that accounts for the discrepancy? Does anyone know of a way to adjust this? I would make sure it is a consistant amount off through the entire speed range first though. canker4077 08-12-2007, 10:04 AM Ive heard that sometimes if you put the right kind of oil on the speedo cable that connects to the speedo that usually helps, Ive never tried it but it might be the easiest thing to start with vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
