I was wondering, if I wanted to drift is a good alternative to an LSD would be welding the spider gear and what are the bad things about this.

welds could break, diff cracks (oil leakage) etc. etc.

get an open diff for $50, weld it up and you're drifting. who cares if it gets busted. only problems is the skipping inner wheel and shitty handling, bitch to park. LSD has the best of both worlds but gonna set you back $800. stock lsd? dont waste your time...

I used one for 2 years.

The only difference between a real clutch type is that a clutch type will transition faster.
