I have an eg DX. It has no tachometer. I'm going to put a b18b in it and I'll need to know what RPMs I'm hitting. I have a cluster from a 95 coupe EX. Are the plugs the same? Will the tach work if I stick it in my dash?

Will it work the same with the b18 in there too?

might as well take your dash apart and see since you already have the part..then youll kno if the plugs work and if it works..and it doesnt matter what motor you have..its all guided by the speedo cable you plug in..

Every place I've ever read has said that it will work no problem, and that the plug is right behind the existing cluster. But, there have been a few people who have said that the plug isn't there. So basically the only way for you to know for sure is to take the cluster out and try to find the blue plug that isn't already used.

I swapped a SI cluster into my CX (pretty much the same) and all is good except CX's have a shift light and apparently that wire corresponds to the cruise control on the SI cluster. But other than that it all works great.

I put it in and it works flawlessly! There was were places for two plugs on the EX cluster.

My DX only has one plug. I pluged it in to the input of the corresponding color and eureka! I guess the other plug would have just been for cruise control.
