Jump start pack question.

Does anyone own one of these? I'm talking about those handy packs that you can use to jump start a battery. It is a portable pack with jumper cables attached that you plug into household current to recharge.
I purchased one in the Fall of 2005. I don't really use it much other than about 4 to 5 jump starts over that period of time , and to operate a small portable air compressor to pump up low or flat tires. (There is a cigarette lighter socket in the pack which operates he compressor.) Recently I have noticed it isn't taking a charge when I go to recharge it. I think that it is still relatively new and should take a charge, especially since i really haven't used it that much and have followed the manufacturer's recommendations to make sure it is fully discharged before recharging it. I was wondering how long everybody elses starter packs have lasted and if you've experienced any problems with them.
