Wondering if earlier year model 1.0 5sp transmissions will fit the 96' model.
The part numbers are different for pre 95' models anyone with any suggestions??

I don't know for sure - so with a grain of salt please. I have not noticed a difference between manual transmissions from the '93-2000 metros I look after. I don't see why there would be a difference, except maybe for the vehicle speed sensor. I know they all have them, but there could be a small difference? My GUESS would be that you are fine, go ahead, they're all the same, but better do some further research/wait for some other people's replys on this one.
