Compression ratio's by the pistions?dizzle1 08-02-2007, 09:36 PM Question is whats the crompression ratio limit for each octane grade. 87/89/93 AudioGuy93DelSol 08-02-2007, 10:57 PM Some of my cars are in the 9's and 10's but still run on regular 87. I hope you mean in the 1/8th mile. CivicSpoon 08-03-2007, 01:05 AM seriously, otherwise I call :bs: (as I think everyone else will as well). Greenblurr93 08-03-2007, 10:17 AM 1. i want to see time slips 2. was there a technical question here or you just trying to start shit by saying civic's are for whimps? 3. why the sudden change in post when someone calls BS? If youre telling the truth you should proof to back it up. CivicSpoon 08-03-2007, 01:04 PM haha that is hilarious. A guy with a '00 Oldsmobile Intrigue coming to the Civic forum to talk crap, and all he does is make himself look like a dumb noob. Classic. Greenblurr93 08-03-2007, 06:13 PM i want to know why he keeps changing his post... is he scared? CivicSpoon 08-03-2007, 07:01 PM ^That's a good question. Another good questions is why in the world would he change it to his original question, thinking anyone will actually help him now. dizzle1 08-30-2008, 01:25 AM Over speculating the subject and you all got carried away when I said Some of my cars are in the 9's and 10's but still run on regular 87 that was the compression ratio like 9.3:1 and 10.0:1 but the engine's ecu will remap reading knock senors to retard the timing and prevent detonation with lower octance's on a car that requires premium, who said anything about a dragstrip. Greenblurr93 08-30-2008, 09:18 AM the ECU wont 'remap' all it will do if it senses knock is retard the timing to the max and open up the injectors dumping as much fuel in as possible... its not smart and can damage your motor Christ 08-30-2008, 11:53 AM Lmao... I have to say this... but Green, this dude replied to defend himself on this thread slightly over a YEAR later lol. First post was 02 August 2007, edited last on 03 August 07 Defense was 30 August 2008... Did it really take him that long to think of a way to say: "I wasn't wrong!!! And I really do know what I'm talking about, and here's a post to make sure you know it too, even though it just makes me look like more of a newb than the first one did!" dizzle1 08-31-2008, 01:07 AM I looked at my old posts for the first time and saw this, made it clear even though your all a year later lol. And that EF sedan is awfully ugly crash that thing or sell it for peanuts and get into the EG family, Crx and EF hatch's are cool if thats your interest. It's all about the EG hatchback's these days double wishbone, lightwieght and look good. Greenblurr93 08-31-2008, 11:09 AM i noticed, but because hes the thread starter he can bump his own thread 10 years later if he wanted to add something technical... but since this topic has now gone off topic... lock vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
