Driving with bad speed sensor

Hello all,

I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500. My speed sensor is shot and i'm still driving it around daily. I know it's the speed sensor because my abs,emergency brake, and check engine light (verified trouble code already) are all on. I'm currently looking for work and trying to pay my bills so my money is very tight. how bad is it for me to keep driving it like this? am i doing serious damage? how long can i go on like this before it causes serious damage? i'm not concerned with speeding tickets cuz my speedometer doesn't work. i'm referring specifically to engine and transmission problems. thanks for your help
