I had to buy a new cylinder head to replace mine and when I got it I noticed that there are letters engraved on top of the head in the corner that read "DDCD". However, the letters on my old cylinder head read E CC C. What do these letters stand for? Do they mean anything at all? Thanks for any help.

Are you sure you should be working on engines? Especially honda engines... did you plan on integrating a phone or a small childrens toy in your car?
Or maybe you're actually a tuner for the widely known ELECTRONICS company... didn't think of that until a second ago... If that's actually the case, my apologies, if not, remember this:

*VTEC*

And just so you know, your name on this forum will now forever be incorrect..

As for your question, this isn't a concrete answer, but usually the casting numbers/letters have something to do with physical attributes of the part you're checking.

uh.....................what???? If you're implying that I dont know how to spell vtec just because I put an h on the end in my username, you need to take another look at your name. What the hell is Dr0pZ0n3? Dropzone? Thats the only thing I can think of. Why did you spell it like that? Because u wanted to add some personality to it, right? Well maybe I did the same thing. Maybe I meant vtec technology. In any case, what gives you the right to bash someone else up just because you dont like their name? Maybe next time you could just post an helpfull reply than just some bullshit.

lets see... why did I make my name the way I have it? maybe b/c that's the way the name of my business is spelled...

and no tuner in their right mind would spell Vtec like you did... it's a sin among honda owners.

either way, if you had fully read the post, I told you what those letters are for, although I don't know what part of the head they're identifying. If you had the sense to use google, you'd probably already have that knowledge.

no need to be belligerent and/or pugnacious, I just called you on a mistake.. don't take offense to it, lots of people do it... just don't lie about it when you've been caught.

Either way, this thread has reached the end of it's usefulness, and I won't be posting in it anymore.
