Hi there! I have a 2002 xterra non supercharged that I want to replace a starting battery. Its the standard battery from nissan when I got the truck new. It has a black battery box around it and its kind of smallish looking.
The battery is 5 yrs old has 2 dead cells in the middle, still gives off 12.59 volts. The question is would you buy a bigger battery with more starting amps, which the battery box won't fit around the bigger battery thus possibly
reducing battery life, Or try to get same size battery which is likely from the
dealer that fits the battery box.

Get rid of the lead acid combo and go with an Optima yellow top. They are worth th extra money. Trust me.

Optima is the way to go.
I have a red top I bought at Costco, cheap.
