What car did you drive in High School?xianriddick 07-30-2007, 01:15 AM People hate it,and it's not the best car in the world. Still, it is my first and I LOVEd IT. My car during High School was a '95 Ford Aspire. It has only two doors and the hatch back was not something that made it look any close to being awesome. But when I traded it for a new model, there was a moment of uncertainty when I thought of just keeping it in my garage with all the memories (:naughty:a stolen kiss, a slap in the face, a break up) it had inside.:banghead: My better judgement overcame me and we had a sad parting. 89Firebird2.8 07-30-2007, 07:37 PM I drive(still a senior) a 1989 Firebird listed in my sig. Had it since 2 weeks before i got my license. I am one of the few in my class to still be driving their first car. Others got brand new ones from the rich dads after wrecking their first beater. xianriddick 07-30-2007, 10:17 PM Looking at your car, I can say that if I drove a car as cool looking as yours I would truly keep on driving it. It looks awesome. The wheels look great man not to mention the paint job. I'd say that if you hold on to that and keep on tuning it, you'd have a classic on your hand soon. Still, I think what makes cars in high schoool be of more worth are the countless memories it carries on our time as crazy bothered adoloscents. xian riddick auto parts for brains blog (http://www.autopartsplace.com/bg) G-man422 08-03-2007, 09:38 AM I'm still in HS (senior) and I'm driving my '97 cougar, and love everything about it except the gas milage, lol. Dyno247365 08-07-2007, 01:02 AM A 1991 Honda CRX hatchback with the 1.5 liter Inline 4 cylinder and Automatic transmission. This car was picked out by my parents, agreed by me for being an occasional rally car as I was reading up about it. I didn't know anything about ricers back then, but I did get gunmetal rims (16") and an obnoxious exhaust, which I never did take off, but did eventually get tired of, especially in slow traffic- holy crap was it loud. This car was a clown car, I once got 7 of my friends in it. I got my first meaningful kiss in the car, and she was hot. It was low to the ground (not lowered) and it handled like a go kart, even though it was front wheel drive. But...I don't miss it. It had serious tranny problems...okay not as bad as my Camaro does... gw84 08-13-2007, 11:55 AM '93 lumina. I graduated 5 years ago and still have it. I agree that with all the memories, it's worth keeping. Good point, 89Firebird2.8 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=483898), I hate it when the people's parents "reward" them for being lousy drivers. If I knew I'd get a nice new car if mine got wrecked in highschool, I'm sure I could have found a nice small dumpster or pole to back into. alphalanos 08-13-2007, 10:47 PM First I had a 91 plymouth expo. then an 02 daewoo lanos hb. then my current 96 civic lx which is going bye bye in a few months. It had a larger than stock later model Dodge flathead 6 and a 3 speed box. With the wind at your back she'd do an honest 96 MPH, but was a handfull at speed. She had all the amenities for 1937 - a AM tube type radio, a real heater, and a crank-out windshield. My parents owned it and let me drive it to school. The first car I bought was a 1965 Mustang, 289, 3 speed. It was pretty much rust free and I got it for $1600, but that was in 1984.:eek2: Gearhorse 10-28-2007, 07:56 PM I drove a '72 Toyota Land-Cruiser FJ-40. I still have it, though it's been going through an engine swap for about 7 years now.... Anyways, it was slow as hell, achieved dogshit gas mileage and was cold and noisy. Definitely one of the coolest cars I've driven and absolutely unbreakable, (trust me, I tried, many times), perfect for a highschooler! :D BigBlue77 10-28-2007, 08:24 PM 1990 Ranger that I put a 300hp small block chevy in.
