62 Buick LeSabre hood hinge

Hi,
I'm new to the forums. I have a friend that is need of a hood hinge for his 62 Buick LeSabre. I'm having a hell of a time finding anyone that has one or makes repo pieces. If anyone has any info it would be much appreciated.

Have you tried looking in Hemmings Motor News?I've found many hard to find parts for some of my older vehicles that I've owned in the past in that monthly publication. In addition to the private classifieds there are ads for companies that sell resto parts for older vehicles.

EDIT: here's another option. You could try eBay.com . Sometimes you will find a seller parting out a car an d offering certain parts for sale in an auction. You could email that seller and ask if they may have the part(s) you need. It's worth a shot , but sometimes you may have to be patient and wait awhile for such an auction to appear. It worked for me a couple of years ago. I was looking for a certain part, and was searching through eBay. I came across a few auctions by one seller who was parting out a vehicle. I emailed him and asked if the part I needed was still available on the vehicle. He replied back saying yes and then put the part up in an auction.(Sometimes the seller may opt to just sell you the part directly without putting it in an auction. This may or not be a good idea. In one way if you buy the part through an eBay auction, you are covered by their "eBay Protection" if something should go wrong, you can have eBay assist you. On the other hand , putting it in an auction raises the risk of someone else who may be interested in the same part, outbid you and win the auction. )

There is a company in Champlain, NY that rebuilds any hood hood hinge. Google this or as suggetsed check Hemmings.
