Rough Idel / excel after Car has Warmed upShaedo 07-27-2007, 11:59 AM 95 Honda Civic Hatchback. I've been having this problem for alittle while now and its just getting worse. I've tried Putting in a Fuel Injector cleaner into the fuel system and that seemed to make no diffrence. I discribed the problem to a Car friend of mine and he seems to think its a problem with the fuel pump. Lordco Quoted me the price on the part at $500 Canadian... Driving to work Its not a problem at all untill today, it sarted running rough when idel and then excelerating from there. It drive just fine on the highway, and the problem is much worse after I get off the highway on the way home. It Idels very rough and acts like its stutters. Loss of power when Exceling from idel. I'm hoping to get a better Diagnosis before I just start throwing parts at it. I thought it might be the fuel filter, but from what I can see... and I could be looking at the wrong part... It looks clean. Any suggestions is greatly apreciated! turtlecrxsi 07-27-2007, 12:10 PM The fuel filter is not actually visible unless you take it apart. It's a cheap fix so maybe try that first. The banjo bolt can be a little stubborn though. Do you have any check engine light showing/codes? Shaedo 07-27-2007, 12:14 PM No Check Engine light lighting up at all. So this Clear noby thing up near the top isnt the fuel filter? I also see alot of people here with simaler symtems have tried Replacing the Fuel filter... Cleaning the iacv seems to do the trick... What ever the iacv is... turtlecrxsi 07-27-2007, 03:13 PM The IACV (also called EACV) is what maintains your idle. It has 2 12mm bolts that hold it onto the Intake Manifold. If you undo those bolts and unplug the electrical plugs as necessary (be sure to plug back in correctly) you can spray carb cleaner and use a q-tip swap to clean out the build up on the screens. GL Shaedo 07-28-2007, 01:00 PM I'm replacing the fuel filter as we speak, but I plan on cleaning the IACV after... but I don't see it... based upon pictures I've seen. Anyone know where it is loacted? thefooshmeister 07-29-2007, 12:54 PM vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
