Where to ID options from VINgipper51 07-26-2007, 10:58 AM Hi all, Wondering if there is a website you could steer me to that I can check the options on a new Infiniti from a VIN? I'm interested in a local '07 listed in Ebay but some of the options the seller is listing don't match the packages available on Infiniti's website. Just want to verify the options package on the vehicle. Thanks. Andydg 07-26-2007, 12:08 PM I could be wrong but I don't think you can tell directly from the VIN itself what options the car has. The VIN usually tells the location it was built, the year, and type of car (coupe, sedan, etc). But you could probably give the VIN to a dealer and they might be able to tell you what options that particular car came with from the info in their database. sickcallawayc12 07-26-2007, 12:35 PM Any Infiniti dealer should be able to tell you options as well as service history. The VIN tells everything Andy said plus sometimes indicates engine type and sometimes suspension type. gipper51 07-27-2007, 08:34 AM Thanks for the replies, guys. Guess I'll make a few phone calls today Hudson 07-27-2007, 08:59 AM Hi all, Wondering if there is a website you could steer me to that I can check the options on a new Infiniti from a VIN? The VIN only tells you where the car was built, who built it, what model and trim level the vehicle is, what the engine is, and (sometimes) what the transmission was from the factory. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
