Tranny Help

I have a 98 civic ex and my syncros are bad. I found a transmission from a 98 civic dx and a 2000 ex. I am wondering if these will fit my car. All three cars still have the same motors they came from honda with. Any help?

if the 2000 ex is still a 6th gen, same as your 98, then there should be no problem in using the 2000ex tranny. i would recommend using the ex tranny as oppose to the dx tranny. ususally the ex tranny is more race oriented with shorter gearing, as the dx is more economical meaning longer gearing. the ex will give you better acceleration than the dx. but both tranny will work with your car

any tranny from a d series will work on a d series engine.

any tranny from a d16 will work on a d16.
