Hey guys, I am in deperate need of help? Badly!!!!!
I have a older model Honda Accord, it is a '92, but it runs real good except for the same problem that I read earlier that it only starts when it wants to.
I have problems when I try to turn it on, I have taken it to several I mean several mechanics and NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT IT IS.
I have been told that it could be a relay, but which one? I don't know.
I also read something about a fuel filter, and sounds like it could possibly be that also? If anyone of you guys have resolved your problem and I would appreciate some info on what it could be, or have any hunches about what it could be then I would be glad to hear you all out. Like I am saying I am desperate and really need some help.........?

Probably the main relay. Does it usually occur on hot days or if the car hes been sitting in the sun?

Yes, it does occur when it is hot and when it has been sitting out in the hot SUN... Do you really think that is what it is? I have a hunch that it could be that, I went out and bought the Honda Accord Repair Manual, and read the book up and down, and it says that a Relays can be removed by pulling them from their socket? Is that true? I know I am a girl but do you think that I can do it myself?

Sounds like a classic main relay problem. The main relay should be up under the driver's side dash, probably bolted to the kick panel. It's not like a regular relay that's in a socket, it has a big plus and it should be held in with a 10mm bolt.

I had the same exact problem on the same year car. Sometimes the car will just not start. The key to look for (or hear) - when you turn the key part way, you should hear a clicking sound. If no click, it won't start. If it clicks, it will start. I replaced the main relay (it cost me $54.22) in August of 2005 and the car has started every time since.
