94 Turn over won't start...

Quad 4 2.3L The engine turns but won't start. Changed the Coil, Starter and Crankshaft Sensor and charged the battery. New spark plugs and caps. It will turn till it drains the battery but will not start @ all. After a few turns the engine will start to smoke. When we open the key you can hear the gas pump engage. This car was stored for winter and never failed to start it did however hesitate every once in a while when driving in the 45-55 MPH range on the highway. Any ideas on what to tackle next or replace?
