3800sc swap

how hard is it to do the 3800sc swap i have a 87 gt with the 2.8 and auto

Its not going to be easy my friend, first you have to have high enough jack stands because the engine does not come out of the top :/, and it is auto now, and you want to make it manual? thats a pain in the ass. keep it auto, because if you get enough power behind it and you lift the front wheels up the last thing you want to worry about is shifting.

I'm considering the same thing I found a 00 (think) GTP engine for 950 including the "brain box" and will throw in the trans for 450. I'm not to worried about how the engine comes out as much as how much work its going to be. THis is one of those where the origional engine needs a crank kit (most likely) and i would like to keep the car and fix it up but weighing out how much a like it to how much I'm going to have to put out to get fixed. Mines a Auto and i do intent to keep it that way.
