A Volvo of a different kindproosen 07-21-2007, 07:56 AM Look what I got for free from a fellow modeller! A Volvo T31 from 1949 with kerosene/petrol engine. It stod outside with no cover over it and hadn't been started for about 1½ years but that posed no problems. Nj, nj, nj....WROOOOM! :screwy: spooky how old iron just keeps working. Here's a movie clip when it got loaded with the old owner at the wheel and my father and cousin pushing on the snowblade. A bit slippery but it finally worked out. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k137/Nickelilltroll/Volvo%20T31%201949/th_47d543a4.jpg (http://s87.photobucket.com/albums/k137/Nickelilltroll/Volvo%20T31%201949/?action=view¤t=47d543a4.flv) The steering is out of order due to some splines being stripped clean at a joint. So we had to us an iron bar to pull the wheels by hand. To the right you can see the steering, my father :naughty: Was a bit fiddly and hard work to get the tractor around the house and lined up with the trailer. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k137/Nickelilltroll/Volvo%20T31%201949/Transport01.jpg This is where it lives now, our summer house. A lot of forrest to pull lumber out of and a piece of gravel road to take care of. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k137/Nickelilltroll/Volvo%20T31%201949/Nya_hemmet_01.jpg http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k137/Nickelilltroll/Volvo%20T31%201949/Nya_hemmet_02.jpg Niclas vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
