Anyhow, I am going to get my civic tinted, and my dad said I could do it as long as it isnt darker than his truck, so does anyone know what the percentage on the stock tint on a 98 sliverado is?

i have a 97 z71 which i got tinted last summer. the dealership said that the factory tint was 35%.

I think bbz71 is correct about the 35%.
you may want to check with your local law
about tinting some areas have a more strict policy.

just get 5% and tell him its completely legal.

the factory tint on most cars/trucks are 20% but its actually a little lighter than actual 20% film.

Factory tint on back windows is actually 22%. The closest you can buy to factory tint is 20%. I have 2.5% super-limo all around on my truck.:bandit:
