please tell me the best way to punch through firewall

i just got a bazooka for my 97 nissan altima and im not sure how or where to punch a hole through the firewall. anyone got some helpful hints?

It's a sub. And I wouldn't recommend "punching" a hole anywhere. Try to find an existing grommet and either push it aside or just run your power cable right through it.

Good luck finding a way thru, I could not find one even if my life were depending on it. All the things that run thru the firewall are hard plastic molded pieces. But I'll be happy if I hear of one.

I had to run three 12 gauge wires through my fire wall to inside my car, which is a 94 Altima. The best place I could find is to drill a hole on driver side firewall right next to the strut tower. Thats the one spot I could find that there was room. I had to use one of those extra long drill bits in order to make the hole, than use a long skinny screw driver in order to poke a hole in the insulation thats behind it. After that I was able to run the three wires from the engine compartment in to the inside of the vehicle (the wires came out right on the bottom side of the dash under my fuse box.
