Top secret project unveiledwkma7six 11-06-2002, 11:09 PM This project is so top secret, I don't even know exactly what I'm building yet  For you Supra lovers, sorry i butchered this one. For the kids that want to learn body modifications, this thread is gonna have many pictures on the progress of the body modifications. Its gonna show the use of styrene sheets and putty. Some of you may notice the hood/bonnet being very low. Where's the engine gonna go? :D http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/878248hoodpieces.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/409479topoff.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/164538ltside.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/357908rtside.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/581191ftflares.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/612494rrflares.jpg Honoturtle 11-06-2002, 11:13 PM You murdered a supra!:D Looks all in pieces.... I would be confused ;)How is the engine going to fit?!?!?! Jay! 11-06-2002, 11:14 PM LOL, I'm guessing the blue marker line was the "instructions," which you seem to have ignored... ;) :p wkma7six 11-06-2002, 11:21 PM Originally posted by jay@af LOL, I'm guessing the blue marker line was the "instructions," which you seem to have ignored... ;) :p Actually, they're limit marks to show where I should stop sanding. I'm probably going to radius the corner or hmmm...... I don't have a clue yet. TOP SECRET remember? ;) i hope you guys don't think this looks like one of Laurents projects. You know....the chop top/ fender flares. -Walter bibendumz 11-06-2002, 11:27 PM is the engine moving to the rear or to the store room???:flamer: bvia 11-06-2002, 11:28 PM I see, the engine will go where the passenger seat would normally be. A ngle seater cockpit surround will enclose the driver with F-18 canopy over the top (including HUD for all engine functions)...or maybe not! Bill :bandit: TougeMonkey 11-07-2002, 01:24 AM Hmmmm, interesting project. Can't wait to see more pics. Daryl 11-07-2002, 01:31 AM I like what I'm seeing... that's gonna be a BRUTAL looking supra Are you gonna put *ahem* "wheels of 19 inch" on those? :D tomazws 11-07-2002, 02:15 AM put a ferrari engine in the rear :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D wkma7six 11-07-2002, 03:24 AM Originally posted by Daryl I like what I'm seeing... that's gonna be a BRUTAL looking supra Are you gonna put *ahem* "wheels of 19 inch" on those? :D Not really. I'm gonna use rims of 23 inch;) primera man 11-07-2002, 04:28 AM I'll be watching this thread with keen interest Jonno 11-07-2002, 05:47 AM Originally posted by primera man I'll be watching this thread with keen interest I second that. It will be intresting to find out what it looks like... daggerlee 11-07-2002, 07:18 AM I know! I know! A longitudinally mounted Subaru EJ20T boxer four with a converted AWD drive train, that ought to fit. :D Veyron 11-07-2002, 07:44 AM Originally posted by daggerlee I know! I know! A longitudinally mounted Subaru EJ20T boxer four with a converted AWD drive train, that ought to fit. :D A transverse Celica 4 banger? Jarrod Li 11-07-2002, 08:34 AM Actually a longitudinally mounted Toyota 4 banger like the 3SGTE might still fit, like Top Secret of Japan's Supra that's hit some insane speeds. They're getting over 700hp out of this 4 banger! edit: damn geocities, exceeded the hit counter already, try this one: http://tucars.net/big/13top_secret_supra_4.jpeg flyonthewall 11-07-2002, 09:15 AM Some serious mods going on there Walter! Looks great! Is this based on something you have seen or is it more of a fantasy project? Jarrod Li 11-07-2002, 09:43 AM Aha! This isn't really a top secret project so much as a silent plea for help cause now that he's hacked up the car he has no idea how to salvage it. All the posts we are putting here are just ideas for him. Sneaky...very sneaky..... j/k giordano 11-07-2002, 12:32 PM whoa!?!? kewl conversion, but can you fit the engine? :cwn27: hey jus a suggestion, make it into a supra roadster? huh?!? huh!?! looks tight without the top!!! wkma7six 11-07-2002, 02:24 PM Originally posted by flyonthewall Some serious mods going on there Walter! Looks great! Is this based on something you have seen or is it more of a fantasy project? I little bit of both. I'm pulling ideas off concept cars, a little of my own, and maybe a little from you guys. Like Jarrod Li said,".....a silent plea for help." ;) After posting the thread last night, I took the hood and rear fender arches apart to reshape them. There will be a lot of that going on with this project. The hood was redone so the curvature doesn't dip down so much. The rear fender arches are going to be re-cut so that they sit higher and then the flares added back on. The body will be completely widened with the flares as a guide. Right now I'm considering the Ferrari v10 F2001 engine or the Porsche GT1 flat 6. Twin turbos are also in the mix of ideas, but I don't want to cover up the induction system with a large box. I'd like to put some polished aluminum velocity stacks that will be visible with a clear rear cowl. Well, as you now know its gonna be mid/ rear engine powered. <---SECRETS OUT!:D -Walter RyanGiorgio 11-07-2002, 02:40 PM Yo that thing is hot so far. I can't wait to see what it looks like when its done. I love th fact that your trying new things. thats great and keep it up. thizishkenny 11-09-2002, 10:13 AM What did you use to cut the hood out? KOFFEE-BLACK 05-12-2003, 10:32 PM Is it finished? 180SxDEwaYz 05-13-2003, 01:45 AM Originally posted by KOFFEE-BLACK Is it finished? haha thats was what i was gonna say!:D endlesskev86 05-13-2003, 02:47 AM LOL i thought ure makin a TOP SECRET Supra....but its actually a Top secret project chaos 05-13-2003, 03:45 AM Awesome!!! Please keep the "pic-torial" coming! As Pman said - will be watching this with very keen interest! Bloodhound 05-13-2003, 05:27 AM well, this is an interesting proposition-evening out the weight balance of the supra by stuffing a new more powerful engine into the back and lopping off the roof in the process. I'll assume the rest of the body will remain mostly stock? maybe a small 70's style lip on the back? and how do you plan to get a new roof onto it? a convertible ferrari could be used as a donor for several pieces. VERY interesting stuff! Mean_B16 05-13-2003, 04:58 PM That is starting to look like most of my projects right in the middle of them, I love seeing models chopped up just to imagine the end result.:D Good luck on this as I know it will be a PAIN to make all that custom work look flawless. He checks in from time to time but his work keeps him busy. :sunglasse vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
