Just out of curiousity. I just received a 94 Mazda 626 ES V6 auto...yeah yeah I know it's an auto but I got it for free. Anyway, do parts and accessories from the mx-6 of the same year fit onto the 626? If anyone can lend a hand in telling me where to get some parts that would be great...thanks. peace

The 626 shares the same engine as the MX6 & the Ford Probe. What specifically are you looking for

Zuke, Hey I was just wondering if lowering springs etc that fit on an MX-6 would fit onto my 626, and if I got a air intake for an MX-6, would it fit my 626? Thanks for the info

Yes, the Mx6, 626, and Ford Probe GT all share the same KL series engine. One thing to consider is swapping in a KLZE (japanese MX6 engine) that has 200 hp and around 195 ft lbs of Torque stock. Thomas KNight Turbos makes turbo kits / superchargers for the KL series engines (ours). As for an intake, I am getting a K&N fuel intake system made for a Probe GT put on soon. And later i am going to get Hotshot headers. There are parts for them, just hard to find. There is mostly 1 body kit and it doesn't look that good. www.andysautosport.com should have it under mazda. Im tuning my 626 ES v6 manual, so far i got a magnaflow exhaust, and K&N filter. Another thing to consider would be getting a MANUAL TRANNY, b/c it would be such a waste to not use the full potential of the KL series engines :D .

Sorry for the long post, hope this helps.

Yup, SiXPusha's right the intake from an MX-6 will fit the 626. There are a few out there: PRM, Hotshot, K&N, & Weapon R intakes.

I personally wouldnt want to install the KLZE engine because they are used & dont come with any warranty. I'd rather go with the turbo option, however, even that companies turbo's arent really known for reliability either. I would recommend changing the intake or(CAI), exhaust, and spark plug wires to start. :sun:

As far as lowering springs go the earlier mx 6 suspension is the same but with the new models it varies. Therefore i would think that you cant fit that same springs from an mx6 on a 626 unless you ahve a 626 from 88-91
