Vacuum line to cruise

Just bought frist Dodge,, 96 4wd 1500,, 360
no cruise -control ,, found a vac line on back on intake,, going under battery area
any clues where this plugs in.?
Also the AC works but goes off when going up a long grade,, like a door is closing due to vac loss,, think they are related no cruise and AC acting this way.?
