The car won't run if it's bad, if you keep getting this code it's an intermittent problem. Try cleaning the distributor connection first. veedubmechanic 02-20-2005, 11:05 PM 94-99 2.0 will set a this code also if the timing belt is old and streches causing the crank to spin at a faster speed than the distributor shaft and the ecm reding it as a bad sensor.
