Finished Pics Of The APEX Altezzaprimera man 11-03-2002, 05:28 PM Well here it is all finished...the APEX Altezza from Fujimi. Painted in Tamiya Chrome Yellow and the wheels are TE-37's painted in Light Gun Metal. Thanks to all you who voted and help out on what ones to use. Kit went together fairly well, only drama's being the decals which are very very thin and are very easy to tear when moving around to get into place. The other being the side skirts which are not a very good fit and took a bit of time extra to get right. Bottom grill cut out and mesh added. Only other added extra was the fatter exhaust tip Your comments are welcome...hope you like !! http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/1776391.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/2012842.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/4854486.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/9557833.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/9748954.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/6718165.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/7754327.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/6183538.jpg cph81 11-03-2002, 05:32 PM falling in love with it................. tonioseven 11-03-2002, 05:38 PM That is awesome but then what else should we expect from Master Yoda?!:coolguy: :coolguy: :coolguy: What's next?! flyonthewall 11-03-2002, 05:42 PM I was unsure about this model to begin with coz going from the box art its not an Altezza kit i would have chosen. Once again you've proved me wrong and produced another great model and once again i have to ask the all to obvious question - what's next? nubiannupe 11-03-2002, 05:45 PM That IS a sweet car, PM... very nicely done. And that's a Tamiya kit??? What have you got up your sleeve next? Suislide 11-03-2002, 06:00 PM that's not a Tamiya kit. it's Fujimi. PMan. wow. i am completely in awe of that car. it looks so very good on the TE-37's, i think you made a good choice there. the paint looks superb, the decals look superb. you are the God of modelling!! lol. just one thing - did you forget to put the little red "Altezza" decal on the front grille, or was that intentional? i can see the little flat part on the grille where it's supposed to go, and know that it goes there because i have an Altezza kit myself with the same grille (HKS Kansai Service). just though you'd like to know if you already didn't. TougeMonkey 11-03-2002, 06:02 PM Looks amazing!!!!!! I knew the TE-37s would look great, but I wasn't expecting gun-metal. Sooperb :) Mikke 11-03-2002, 06:04 PM Damn that thing looks great!! :ylsuper But I still hate Fujimi's quality of molding. You can see from the pics (especially the close-ups of front and rear) that the molding isn't really that sharp - the edge of the hood, for instance. Anyway, I don't think you can get a better result than that from a Fujimi kit -> meaning I like it :D daggerlee 11-03-2002, 06:13 PM Lookin' sharp as usual. Makes me want to order a few of Fujimi's tuner cars, like the new Buddy Club RSX or something. :) I would have switched the disc brakes from those generic throwaways to some nice brembos myself, and gone with the original 5 spoke but hey it's your model :sun: sk82break 11-03-2002, 06:26 PM WOW! How do you make them so nice? Veyron 11-03-2002, 06:37 PM Perfecto!:D magicmanjk808 11-03-2002, 06:57 PM looks great pman. hopefully mines will be half as good. Max Power 11-03-2002, 07:22 PM Excellent! This is just in time too. I am planning on painting the wheels of my current project light gun metal and now your model gives me a chance to see what the color looks like. sugarcaddy 11-03-2002, 07:29 PM Love it! :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: BTW nice plate from the Revell ITR kit !! LOL Scott wkma7six 11-03-2002, 08:05 PM Warren, Warren, Warren. Damn you!! How do you manage to get things done so quickly? For everyone I finish you get about 6 done. Hey, you know what, I've been really good about turning things out lately. I think I had about three completed last month alone. I didn't vote for the wheels , but you still ended up with excellent results. How do you make them so nice? Yeah Pman, how do you do that? You don't even polish or clear coat, while I sit for hours on end- polishing and rubbing til my fingers bleed. :finger: Walter impreza2k2 11-03-2002, 08:43 PM nice, especially the colour of the rims and it's perfectly lowered. did u smoke the head light? tomazws 11-03-2002, 08:46 PM awesome car!!! RyanGiorgio 11-03-2002, 08:57 PM He's done it again. Damn nice. sk82break 11-03-2002, 09:01 PM You don't polish?! How do you make the paint so mirror like?! [S]ky|ine 11-03-2002, 09:36 PM Wow, Great job Pman, Love the rims and the colour!!! apex_N1 11-03-2002, 09:42 PM Wow! looks great! the te-37's suit this car very well. Forhod 11-04-2002, 12:39 AM Way to go Pman. Awesome. Honoturtle 11-04-2002, 01:26 AM The color of the rims really match the color of the car! Nice job Warren! Focus2000 11-04-2002, 04:37 AM Looks great - the KiwiBot strikes again :D I'm still not sure about those reversed decals on the side, but if that's how the teams paint the cars then who are we to argue? Guiddy 11-04-2002, 05:23 AM Beautiful as ever Warren! Glad you went with my rim choice, and it suits the car perfectly! Very aggressive! The decals was something a bit new for you, and makes a nice change! You are getting colourful in your old age!!! As ever we all want to know what will grace that Kiwi table next??? Gainsbourg 11-04-2002, 05:41 AM Standard Pman quality. Your paint job and polishing are really something out of this world. Five stars. :) primera man 11-04-2002, 03:34 PM Thankyou for all your kind words...makes the job seem worth while. As for the next project........ http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/222424BozzSpeed.jpg Guido 11-05-2002, 09:32 AM Being late again with my comments  looks really really good. Maybe add some smoke around the door handles. Are looking a bit flat like that. But for the rest? Very nice. I only whish I had the same amount of time to model. I can't keep up with your pace of glueing everything together... :bloated: Keep up the good work! Veyron 11-05-2002, 09:41 AM I'm still not sure about those reversed decals on the side, but if that's how the teams paint the cars then who are we to argue? I noticed many of the Japanese tuners have the words reversed on the right side of the car? Adidas150 11-05-2002, 10:33 AM Another great job from the master, what else could we expect from you. I was not feeling so well about this model in the beginning but you made me change my opinion. Love the lights and that sssssssssshiny look. daggerlee 11-05-2002, 06:21 PM I noticed many of the Japanese tuners have the words reversed on the right side of the car?
