Anyone know if there are any female McLaren F1 owners? I have heard of one (in the factory magazine) who apparently likes to use her car. Anyone have any clues/guesses as to who it might be, which country she lives in?

I am guessing that if such a person exists, she is in England, but I have no idea.

It's been brought up before here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=592644

I read somewhere that a lady bought her F1 in for a service, and each nut that was touched with a tool she got replaced (kinda strange as you would need that same tool to do up the nut you've just taken off....womens logic ;)) to keep it as 'new' as possible.... :screwy:

Yeah, that's the story I had in my mind. I don't think it was as extreme as that...I am guessing that each nut that was undone was replaced by a new one. Which is, of course, equally bizarre.

Possibly one of Bernie's daughters?

Lol, I didn't even know if he had any kids. She's attractive? Mother must be a real stunner to make up for dad!!

Just a McLaren-related interest--would be a very unique woman who had one and was able to drive it properly.

Are we convinced that the photograph is actually her.
Just it seems that one would not ask the lady who has just bout what was at the time the most expensive car in the world to pose with a duster cleaning the windscreen.
Is the picture not of one of the sales team in the Park Lane Showroom?
Not doubting anyone just it seems very bad taste to have the lady with duster in hand. Very sexist.

What picture are you referring to? I was just thinking of the text in the RacingLine magazine, not any specific picture. I am sure that McLaren would not put up pictures of any non-public owners, so I doubt that it was a picture of her --but I don't really remember any pics of a lady holding a duster up to a McLaren F1.

Must ask, though, what's sexist about such a picture? There are tons and tons of pics of guys cleaning the car, so it's not a female only or male only type of thing. And it's not as if she is being forced to do it. I don't think there's anything sexist about it, just a normal occurrence. Now if she was holding an iron while wearing a maid's uniform, well, we would have to see the pic to really render a proper opinion. :)
