dude its the driver not the car. if you give a noob a supra and a pro a skyline. skyline wins and vice versa now if were dealing with equal drivers and equal tuning then thats a photo finish

The skyline has more weight do to the all wheel drive yet less wheel spin as the previous post states it depends on the driver

lol, yes, why debate over this, these are 2 bad ass cars with hella amounts of potential from both. for those who dont think that one car or the other can get to 1300hp, i know of a supra running 2000hp of course its all built by trd and titan motorsports...but is still street driven as well...and i have video of a 1600hp r34 pulling about a 2mile stretch of wangan highway...if there are any doubts a skyline can hit 250mph...download "1600 hp skyline" from kazaa or imesh or whatever, you'll be a believer after you see that. that skyline sounds like a f-14 fighter jet doing a low alt flyby!

you guys also have be aware that most of these hp rating from japanese tuner cars were numbers taken at the wheels. so a 1300hp skyline is basically a 1300whp skyline vs. a 1300 whp supra. therefore same power rating making it to the ground, and the GT-R will be making more crank hp then the supra is however is putting down the same power. if you look at extervimini's R33 GT-R, its putting down over 800Kw at all 4 wheels, which means over 1100whp at all 4 wheels with a 12000 rpm redline!!!

Well it would be a very close race, I don’t think it would be more then 0.3 second differences. Note Skyline GTR is NOT full time AWD car, every body should know a Skyline GTR has an advanced computerized AWD/RWD system; in another word it has benefits of both systems. Supra 2JZ-GTE and Skyline GTR RB26-DETT engines are the strongest competitors and considered to be the strongest inline straight sixes in the world full capable of handling more then 1300bhp. For me it sounds more reasonable to compare 1300bhp Supra vs. 1300bhp Skyline GTR on a drag race. I am not so sure if 1300bhp Supra or a Skyline GTR would hold out for long competing on a race track. I would guess no more then 4 or 5 circuit round on a race track before the car starts to overheat or worst of all explodes. The engines are already hard pushed on a JGTC GT500 race for both Supra and Skyline doing 40 to 50 circuits round. If we are talking about quarter mile drag race I would vote for Skyline GTR coz of the car’s superior AWD acceleration. If some of you guys don’t know the HKS Skyline R33 GTR has world record in drag racing doing 7.671 seconds @ 181.98 mph quarter mile for 6 cylinder class engines. On a race track well I guess I have to vote for Skyline GTR again, why? Let me explain, as I mention earlier because a Skyline GTR has one of the worlds most advanced computerized AWD/RWD system, so it means Skyline GTR has better acceleration, handling, cornering speed and corner exit accelerations (coz of the car’s full functioning AWD system to help the car to keep maximum tractions) then a full time RWD Supra. Another thing is also the Skyline GTR RB26-DETT engine has higher capability to tune to engine to push more then 10.5k rpm meter then a Supra 2JZ-GTE engine (which can not push more then 9.5k rpm). If we look back at Skyline GTR’s history the Skyline has won almost every race the car has been competing. Many of the race arrangement managers didn’t want the car to compete because the car was considered to be too AWSOME! Skyline GTR is ranked to be the 3rd fastest AWD car in the world. On a longer straight line I think a Skyline GTR and a Supra with the same horsepower and torque would be equal (if we don’t consider the acceleration), but if we consider with the acceleration from the start the Skyline GTR I believe would win again because the car’s intelligent computer turns off the AWD system after the acceleration and turns on the RWD system to give more horsepower to the rear wheels at longer straights to help the car to achieve maximum top speed. A 980bhp Skyline R33 GTR did once top speed of 387 km/h. Well in over all conclusions I would say Skyline GTR is superior in every aspect of race, GT race, street racing, drag racing and even rally I’ve seen a R33 won in an Australian rally. My last word I don’t know what to say more then except Skyline GTR RULES!
