radiator making gurgle sound

my radiator makes a gurlging sound but never overheats i checked the thermosat that was good...radiator no leaks but i found antifreeze that must have come out of my lower heating vent when i parked my truck because i had antifreeze in my console .....but truck gauge says good never overheats ......whats going on?:banghead:

sounds like you have air in the radiator. read this thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=469926)for the procedure on removing it from the system. also, replace the rad cap if you are still using the original as they are defective.

There's not supposed to be any coolant inside the vehicle, vent's, console or otherwise. You may have a bad heater core. Are you sure it's coolant?

This sounds like a heater core going bad, like ZL1 mentioned. Take a look at the link Rick posted, it has good info. Either way, the gurgling sound is defiently air in the system, now you just have to find how its getting there.

If it is the Heater core leaking, you can buy a plastic fitting and "jumper" the two heater hoses together to bypass the core. Disconnect the heater hoses at the firewall and install the Jumper fitting. This will hold you until you can R&R the Heater core. Don't forget to add more coolant.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE THAT POSTED TO MY QUESTION............the link that rick showed me was great turns out all it was was air in the system changed rad cap with a stant and parked truck on hill to get the air out of the radiator....:licka: .thankyou to all who helped me
