Couple of M3 questionskicker1_solo 11-01-2002, 01:25 PM Hello all, I've been thinking about selling my 00 civic and getting a mid to late 90s M3. I was looking around on the net and found out that I like the 95s. Someone told me that they didn't make 4 doors until later though, and I haven't seen any 95 4 doors. So I was wondering what year they started making the sedans. I really would like a sedan, but my checkbook wants me to buy something around a 95. I don't mind getting a coupe, they're very nice looking, but I would really prefer a sedan. This will be a car that I keep for a while, and I'll probably be married soon so it will be my family car also. That's why I want a sedan, and plus I love the way the sedans look, probably even more than the coupes. So what would you guys recommend for me? Just getting a coupe within the next 6 months or saving even longer to buy a newer sedan after a year or two? Thanx farking_funny 11-03-2002, 07:46 AM M3 doesn't come in a sedan. Only Coupe and convertible. If you want a 4 door, you will have to spend more and get the M5. farking_funny 11-03-2002, 08:10 PM I'm sure this one would be in your price range! :p http://www.wreckedexotics.com/m3/m3_081602_001.jpg LEVOC///MPower 11-05-2002, 06:02 PM No, E36 M3 does come in a sedan.. but I believe it's post 96 model. Here are some pics http://www.dynamic-sw.com/images/M3inSC3.gif http://images.cardomain.com/installs/2000-2999/2607_8_full.jpg boostinm3 11-05-2002, 09:09 PM The 95 and 96 models were only coupes, but 97 and on they started making sedans. So, the earliest model M3 with 4 doors is a 97. If I were you I would sell the civic and get an M3 you'll have a lot more fun driving an M3 :D :D But, since you want to keep this car for a while you should get what you really want, which sounds like the sedan. Just save up and in the end it'll all be worth it. kicker1_solo 11-09-2002, 03:32 PM Alright, cool guys, thanx. And I'd love to get my hands on that wrecked one above if I could get it for a few grand. Put it in my shop for a couple months and come out with a beautiful car. But I guess I'll just save for a while longer and drive my sucky civic for a while. :( lol I knew they made sedans, just wasn't quite sure what year they started. Thanx for the help guys. :) Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
