Overdrive switch not workingparadigmlxi 06-26-2007, 10:44 PM Hello When I purchased the van over a year ago the overdrive button worked fine but now when I push the button to turn off the overdrive it doesn't do anything. I have checked all the fuses. Its been like this for a very long time and I have done alot of reading and I have not come accross this problem anywhere. The closet thing I have heard is the wiring runs over or under the steering column and it gets worn until it not longer works on 2002 - explorers. The transmission works fine, except that its alway in overdriver but no blinking light or codes. 2002 Windstar Sport 3.8 Please advise Thanks 12Ounce 06-27-2007, 09:10 AM Make sure that the 10amp fuse in position #14 is good ... this is in the panel near driver's left foot. I have heard of these switches failing and having to be replaced. It is a normally "open" switch that supplies a 12v signal to terminal 21 of the instrument panel. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
