Okay, so I've been looking to get my interior redone since mine is in really bad condition right now and wanted to know what you guys thought about the options I have. Initially, I was going to redo the whole interior and change the interior to black or charcoal but that's just too much money right now.

As a result, I've decided to just redo my seats (front and back) to a 2-tone set-up. I went to a couple of shops today and one place quoted me about $2,200.00 for leather and labor for the seats. Another place quoted me $1,800.00 but I talked the guy down to $1,600.00 but told him that I'd shop around a bit more. The second guy I talked to though seemed as if he'd go down to $1,500.00 which makes me believe he'll probably go down lower--$1,300 to $1,400.00 maybe??? Wishful thinking probably.... Haha

At any rate, I asked both shops how much they would charge for labor if I provided the leather (leatherseats.com) and they both said anywhere between $350.00 to $500.00.

So my question to you guys....buy the leather and have a shop install it for me, have the shop do everything for me, or buy the leather and attempt the install myself following Deft Spyder's guide???

do it yourself, per Deft Spyder's guide. there's a local guy here that did the labor himself, after getting the new leather from leatherseats.com. turned out REAL nice.

Dang that is expencive!! There is a place out here called pennies.. There are a bunch of cool hispanic guys that don't speek good english and the shop looks like crap but they do a killer job! Somthing like that would only cost like 400-600 bucks.. And in this case the price does not reflect the quality of the work!!
