Is a 60-1 T04E Turbo Driveable Daily? #2bcsintegra 10-31-2002, 10:15 AM This is the second post about the 60-1 turbo, the first didn't go through for me. I was reading about this bad ass integra with this stage 4 turbo kit and it had 499 HP, is there anyway I could use this turbo on my car and replace a couple things like the 440cc injector with like a 330 or 370, and a couple other things and give my car like 350 HP and a daily driver. What in the hell makes this turbo such an ass kicker???? 60-1 T04E Turbonetics Turbo Greddy Drag Manifold Custom 2 1/4 Inch Piping Turbonetics Wastegate Spearco Intercooler Aeromotive Fuel Pump and Regulator 440cc RC Injectors JE 9.1 Pistons Profec-B Boost Controller Crowler Rods Greddy Blow Off Valve Skunk 2 Cams. Self 11-01-2002, 01:10 AM It's big...Almost too big for your car I would think...That's what makes the power though, the size of the turbo and the amount of air it spools/flows. pvang31019 11-01-2002, 06:41 PM Originally posted by bcsintegra 60-1 T04E Turbonetics Turbo Greddy Drag Manifold Custom 2 1/4 Inch Piping Turbonetics Wastegate Spearco Intercooler Aeromotive Fuel Pump and Regulator 440cc RC Injectors JE 9.1 Pistons Profec-B Boost Controller Crowler Rods Greddy Blow Off Valve Skunk 2 Cams. no offense really, but waht is this BS? bcsintegra 11-01-2002, 06:50 PM That BS is the junk that the 500 HP integra had on it Self 11-02-2002, 02:03 AM Originally posted by pvang31019 no offense really, but waht is this BS? What do you mean? I didn't even really look over the setup, but I'm just curious as to why you say it's BS? Mind adding some more to that?? Like what you would suggest/prefer...Or what will and will not work?? Tominos 11-03-2002, 12:52 AM i think what he means is that turbo is way too big for that engine. the size of that turbo is better suited to higher displacement engines. ie, supra, etc. as for daily driver, no way in hell unless you don't mind major turbo lag until redline. haha. pvang31019 11-03-2002, 05:53 PM what I meant was that, 1. the turbo is not big( I run one also), but will not bolt up to a greddy manifold. 2. the turbonetics WG is a piece of junk 3. 440 injectors will barely flow enough for 400whp let alone 500whp 4. there is no such thing as crowler rods 5. skunk2 cams are for N/A applications 6. why is there not a standalone listed in there. How are you supposed to make 500whp reliably? bcsintegra 11-04-2002, 09:58 AM Hey, I don't know I am just asking, I posted the info straight from the website. So pvang31019 you ru nthis type of turbo, do you have lots of drag? YOu talk like its a piece of shit??:smoka: pvang31019 11-04-2002, 03:48 PM it's not a piece of shit...what turbine housing are you using with it? a t3 or t4? You'll get full spool by 5000rpm bcsintegra 11-06-2002, 09:54 AM I don't know, how much earlier would a T3 reach full spool than a T4? pvang31019 11-06-2002, 02:20 PM Originally posted by bcsintegra I don't know, how much earlier would a T3 reach full spool than a T4? at least 700 rpms quicker depending on what turbine housing and trim wheel you have bcsintegra 11-06-2002, 06:24 PM My car is basically going to stay on the street 99% of its life, so I feel like I don't need to run anymore than 10 psi of boost. Would a T28 turbo be a good choice, what is the next biggest size after the t 28? pvang31019 11-07-2002, 06:14 PM I suggest you just get a turbo kit...you'll be much happier than going custom bcsintegra 11-07-2002, 06:24 PM That is what I plan to do. I was wondering if anyone makes a turbo for Integras that is larger than a T28 but smaller than a T3. If so who makes them? Would you suggest a T3 or T28 turbo if I want to keep the same fuel system. pvang31019 11-07-2002, 08:13 PM get the greddy kit bcsintegra 11-08-2002, 09:51 AM I was really looking at that, but I was wondering what turbo comes with it? bcsintegra 11-08-2002, 10:01 AM What goodies are included in the Greedy Kit? pvang31019 11-08-2002, 01:45 PM comes with everything you need, but the IC is optional. It uses an 18g turbo check it out on the greddy website bcsintegra 11-08-2002, 06:39 PM Sorry but 18g turbo tells me nothing, what does that mean. What size turbo? pvang31019 11-10-2002, 01:17 AM look it up...that' what the internet is for iceiso 11-10-2002, 10:44 PM lol, this is like a chatroom. i dunno anything about turbos, so i'm just following along to learn somethin. so, please don't flame me for not posting advice. just had to add that chatroom thing, sorry bout that, lol pvang31019 11-15-2002, 02:41 AM here's a nice manifold that will go great with a custom turbo setup with a t3 flange $500 shipped brand new http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid37/p09cae64d66cb5e0ef795da4dbaa0837c/fd1b12fe.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid37/pf5dec960ddd7942c22c473cf709d876b/fd1b12fd.jpg.orig.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid37/p8c4274822df4e19cb19eb70597bbcb22/fd1b1300.jpg drift 11-23-2002, 09:38 AM Originally posted by pvang31019 it's not a piece of shit...what turbine housing are you using with it? a t3 or t4? You'll get full spool by 5000rpm he said what kind it was... it's a 60-1 mated to a T04 turbine. aka T04/T6 hybrid. waaaaayyyy too big for your motor. pvang31019 12-06-2002, 10:05 AM Originally posted by drift he said what kind it was... it's a 60-1 mated to a T04 turbine. aka T04/T6 hybrid. waaaaayyyy too big for your motor. actually, he said that it's a t04e, which is a designated size of a garrett compressor housing not the turbine side. pvang31019 12-06-2002, 10:13 AM Originally posted by drift he said what kind it was... it's a 60-1 mated to a T04 turbine. aka T04/T6 hybrid. waaaaayyyy too big for your motor. The to4e is not taht big... and teh 60-1 is actually a to4s... I have a t4/60-1 with a .84 a/r turbine housing and "O" trim with a 60-1 compressor wheel and .70a/r compressor housing vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
