clunck noiseprxterra 06-22-2007, 11:24 AM I have a 2000 X and evertime I drive over a bump or a pot hole, I hear a "clunck" noise coming from underneigh the front right side near the a-arm. A friend tried rocking the X back and fourth while I checked underneigh. I heard the cluncking noise but I could not see where it was coming from. Does anyone have any idea? skibum1111 06-22-2007, 10:56 PM First guess would be a-arm bushings, followed by a bad shock. prxterra 06-23-2007, 06:41 AM skibum1111, I will replace the shocks first because I have not replaced them yet. Thank you for the reply and please accept my apologies for my poor manners. adc2000xterra 07-18-2007, 02:10 AM i heard a clunk noise while hunting in 2003 . After coming back from my trip, i brought the xterra to the dealer and they put grease under some connecting parts on the front side. It did the trick. I don t remember exactly the part. its a stopper of some kind hitting the table when you hit deep holes. Im sure its nothing but get it checked if you want. prxterra 08-29-2007, 09:49 AM I just replaced the front shock absorbers and wala...noise is gone!
