93 S10 2.8 Oil Spues OUT! HelpFecomosis 06-21-2007, 12:14 AM My truck has a oil leak, iam not sure where it is coming from. I was coming home from work and I decided to do some fun burnouts in it. It wasnt much of a burnout but once I stopped the burn out, there was a massive could of smoke. I thought it was my tires. I went a few block down and the smoke is following me! I pull over and stop, pop the hood and OIL is all over the engine bay, and I look under the truck and oil is just spewing out. After cooled. I put more oil into the truck, and turned it on for diagnosis with the air beather off, and I was watching for oil leaks. No oil leaks spotted unil I rev the engine at high rpm, then oil shoots out of the driver side valve cover hose! If I had the air breather on it would have gone straight into my intake. What do you guys think? Bad head gasket? Clogged PCV? I replaced the passanger side PCV Valve a few months ago. The driver side appears not to have a pcv on it. Iam thinking something clogged. riptide44 06-25-2007, 01:18 AM your motor is done - its called blowby . Fecomosis 06-25-2007, 10:27 AM OK well thankyou for your general answer saying that your motor is done. Not much help. Anyways, I did a compression check to see if I had a bad piston ring and all the pistions are good. I took off the valve cover and there is a ton of sludge in my heads. Iam thinking that the oil that shoots up into the valves dosnt go back down into the drainage holes and fills up. So Next step is getting my heads cleaned. I will report back after thats done. laxman21 06-25-2007, 12:55 PM Let us know what happens. bigd7315 06-26-2007, 09:24 PM 2.8 were bad about 2 things that would cause bad leaks drain backs stopping up and intake gaskets blowing both are a common thing at high rev a clothes hanger and a` shop vac will clean u up vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
