Today I changed the oil in my car and when I turned it on the light came on and only stays on if the RPMs are below 1K. As soon as I accelerate and it goes above 1K RPM the light turns off, but when I stop it turns back on. Any ideas of what the problem could be. Thanks in advance.

Do you have enough oil? Did you check the oil level after the filter filled up? Maybe it's a pressure problem which means either the oil pressure sensor is gone or the oil pump is gone.

There is enough oil in the car. Ill have to check the sensor.

i believe the light goes on when there isnt enough pressure.... hows the pump?
