Basic starter tips for 1994 SE

Anyone have any good tips regarding basic things I could start with? (Modifying and whatnot)

The GM 3.1 doesn't take to mods well. Helping it breathe easier with a cold air intake and opening up the exhaust are your best bang for the buck.
