Hello all,
I own a 97 JGC limited 4x4 with 5.2l eng. The rear end is a Dana 44. Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear axles and outer bearings so I can replace them. Thanks.

I recently had to replace the rear bearings on my 98 laredo with a factory differential. You have to remove a pin in the spider gear inside the differential to pull the axels out. One important thing to remember is a particular note Haynes makes... Do not spin the axel while the pin is out. Putting the spider gears back in is tricky and they will plop out if spun without the pin in place. The Pin that you remove has (if I remember correctly) another pin (or was it a set screw) that holds it in place. A Haynes manual is pretty thorough on this proceedure.
