Would you buy this?ZSebag 06-17-2007, 04:06 PM http://houston.craigslist.org/car/347907067.html Ok, well i've been looking for 240sx's and I came across this one. She wants 2200 for it. She said it's been well taken care of(like everyone does lol) oil changed every 1500 miles, etc etc. It has a new paint job. I'm going to go look at this weekend(it's about an hour away) and was wondering if you guys could tell me anything to look out for. She says it has a little rust in the back(trunk). Also when I'm driving it/pop the hood what should I look for? Also, she says the car has 150k miles on it, but the engine has about 120-130. (They replaced the engine with an engine w/ 90k on it not to long ago.) Thanks in advance. http://houston.craigslist.org/car/347907067.html 240SXSlideStar 06-17-2007, 04:42 PM 1500$ tops. You have no idea what is hiding under the new paint, it's automatic and it's a KAE. slideways... 06-17-2007, 04:52 PM my monitor im using is too crappy to tell if its an auto or not. but it almost doesnt matter because its a KA24E. its a fine motor but its easier to get alot more power with two cams. and DOHC motors arent hard to find. so if you get it just rock it like it is until you find a twin cam engine, harness, tranny, ecu, MAFs, and all the manual swap bits. thats what id do. even if its a manual, id still swap to a twin cam motor of some sort. ZSebag 06-17-2007, 05:12 PM Thanks for the advice, I was actually seriously thinking about going down there to buy that as well this weekend! So enlight of this news, can you please give me some suggestions on what to look for in my 240sx? I plan on posting the next possibility I come across as well, however I'm just trying to figure out what exactly it needs in it to make it a decent buy. S13Driftfiend 06-18-2007, 08:50 AM id buy it just for the seat, steering wheel covers and the floor mats check for rust, any new pieces in the frame or floor, make sure engine runs well, etc etc etc... Grenyaer 06-18-2007, 04:01 PM Best advice I ever got. Make sure it's not a Ford Probe :) S13Driftfiend 06-18-2007, 09:10 PM who said that? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
