can anyone tell me how to reset the SRS light without having to take the car to the dealer, and also how to get the SRS codes.

I believe you have to use a scan tool that does abs and airbags. The cheap $100 obd-II scanners won't do it. If you know someone thaat works at a body shop they all have scanners that can read these codes
